Pair of Top-10 finishes over Labor Day weekend

Taking part in the Labor Day weekend tripleheader, Colin Shipley traveled to Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, Mich.) on Friday night for the All-star Performance Challenge presented by American Ethanol. After mechanical issues in time trials and his heat sent him into the B-Main, Colin jumped up four spots to place second behind Steven Hilliker. With $4,000 on the line in the feature, Shipley marched through the field eight spots to register a ninth place finish.

Following the All-Star Performance Challenge to Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.) on Saturday, Shipley secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth place finish in his heat. Gaining two spots in the 40-lap feature, Colin notched an eighth place finish.

For the second round of the Gene Kreager Championship weekend on Sunday, Colin posted an eighth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 22nd on the starting grid for the finale. Passing four cars in the 75-lap affair, Colin Shipley recorded a 17th place outing.
